SERVICES
Worship services held every Sunday 8:15 and 11:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist celebrated at all services. Summer services 9:30 a.m. June-August. Special worship services held on holy days. Call church office or see Web site for times.
CENTER SERVICE
9:30 a.m. worship service held first Sunday of the month, Sept.-May. Contemporary music and alternative worship styles. Families volunteer to lead services.
NURSERY
Staffed nursery during 11:00 a.m. worship available for children under age 5 in Education wing lower level.
ACOLYTES
Youth in grade 6 and above serve by lighting and extinguishing candles, assisting with communion and offering.
LECTORS
Members invited to read the first lesson and assist with Communion during worship.
ASSISTING MINISTERS
Members invited to assist the Pastor during the service with lessons, prayers, and Communion.
USHERS/GREETERS
Volunteers trained and scheduled to serve as ushers during worship services, greet worshipers prior to services
and assist with guest book. Families are welcome to usher.
ALTAR GUILD
Guild members prepare and maintain chancel for worship, including Eucharistic elements, paraments,
and altar appointments.
CHANCEL CHOIR
Open to all adults (college age and up) interested in singing for worship.
Choir sings every Sunday, Sept.- May alternating between 8:15 and 11:00 a.m. services.
Rehearsals Wednesdays 7:30 p.m.
HANDBELL CHOIR
Beginners and experienced handbell players welcome. Plays monthly during worship. Rehearsals Thursdays 8:00 p.m.
WORSHIP BAND
Instrumentalists and singers provide music for contemporary worship 9:30 a.m. first Sundays Sept.-May. Rehearsals Saturdays as needed.

Sunday classes meet 9:30-10:30 a.m. except first Sunday of month Sept.-May.
ADULT FORUM
Adults and guests invited. Speakers discuss Biblical topics as well as issues of the day. Lively discussion encouraged.
TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY
Group meets every other Tuesday morning, 7:00-8:00 a.m., Sept.-May, to study and discuss Biblical or church related topics. All are welcome!

Group meets every other Tuesday evening, 7:00-8:00 p.m., Sept.-May, to study and discuss Biblical or church related topics. All are welcome!
GRACE AND PEACE FELLOWSHIP-MEALS
Monthly meal that is prepared and delivered by Bethel members to Grace and Peace Fellowship (shelter for homeless women) Nov.-March.
PEACE AND HEALTH COMMITTEE
Promotes physical and spiritual well-being of individuals, the community, and the world.
PROJECT C.O.P.E.
Ministry by small trained teams of Bethel members working with ex-offenders to help them re-integrate into community life.
STEPHEN MINISTERS
Trained members provide individual care for fellow members in need.
BETHEL CONNECTION
Bethel’s monthly newsletter goes to press on the 18th of the month. Volunteers assist with assembling and mailing.
TECHNOLOGY
Volunteers aid church staff and members in applying technologies to improve Bethel’s ministry.
TELLERS
Tellers are responsible for counting, sorting and recording Sunday offerings. Training is provided.
PROPERTY and MAINTENANCE
Volunteers work under direction to perform minor repairs and ongoing maintenance of the buildings and grounds.
NEW MEMBER SPONSORS
Sponsors help assimilate new members into congregational life. Needed are friendly, outgoing, positive individuals to "shepherd" new members.
HOSPITALITY HOUR
Hosted after the 11:00 a.m. worship service to encourage fellowship and support among Bethel’s members.
BREAD BREAKERS
Groups formed each fall and spring to meet and share several meals together during the course of 4 months.
YOUNG AND RESTLESS
A group of families with young children meet for meals and activities every month or so.
YOUNG PROFESSSIONAL GROUP
Young professionals and graduate students meet on Mondays 8:00 p.m. for discussion, fellowship, and sharing at the LCM House next to Bethel.
BETHEL PRESCHOOL
Christian preschool for children ages 3-5. Half day and full day programs available: Children can attend 2 to 5 days per week.
BETHEL SCHOOL
Christian school grades K-8 offers members and other families a high quality education with caring teachers and small classes. Some scholarships are available.
LUTHERANS CONCERNED
Anyone who supports Lutherans Concerned’s mission of affirming God’s love for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities is invited to contact the church office for more information on Chapter meetings, usually held the first Sunday of the month at 6 p.m. with a 5 p.m. potluck.
LUTHERAN CAMPUS MINISTRY (LCM)
Ministry for college students at area schools. Worship, fellowship, service opportunities, counseling, Bible study, service trips, and more. Seminary intern is also on staff. The LCM House is next door to Bethel, 7019 Forsyth Blvd.
